CNC Wire EDM Operation

1. Material Selection: Choose materials suitable for CNC wire EDM, often involving conductive materials like stainless steel, titanium, or superalloys.
2. Wire Electrode Selection: Select the appropriate wire electrode material, often made of brass or coated with a dielectric, and thread it through the workpiece.
3. Workpiece Mounting: Securely hold the workpiece on the CNC wire EDM machine, ensuring proper tension and alignment of the wire.
4. CNC Setup: Configure the CNC machine by loading the relevant CNC program, setting tool offsets, work offsets, wire tension, discharge parameters, and flushing rates.
5. Wire EDM Process: Activate the CNC machine to feed the wire electrode through the workpiece while generating controlled electrical discharges, eroding material and achieving precise cuts, contours, and profiles as per the programmed instructions.
